300 4-H'ers at Taylor County Fair in Bedford
About 300 Taylor County 4-H boys and girls will exhibit livestock and clothing projects at the 1956 Taylor County Fair and 4-H Achievement Show at Bedford fairgrounds July 26 to 28. No open class show due to Bedford water shortage. events include 4-H clothing, livestock judging, dress revue, demonstrations, and auto thrill shows with detailed judges and superintendents listed.

Report from Irving Prick Inc of Tex says four generators ran July 17 in the project area including Page County. Cloud seeding used four to six hours at Glenwood Palmyra Shenandoah and Fairfax. Eight stations were used the week before.

Villisca Redistricting Vote Planned Across Three Counties
The Villisca area holds a Thursday redistricting election where nine districts vote to approve a proposed Villisca Community School district. Seven of nine approvals are needed for district creation with July 1 1957 as effective date and taxes to fund the new district collected in 1958. Polling sites include Swisher and Douglas in Page County and Pierce and Frog in Taylor County with voting from noon to 7 pm.

Corn resealing to rise on Page county farms in 1956
Oscar Engstrom, chairman of the county ASC committee, predicts heavier corn resealing in 1956 due to potential feed shortages and higher storage payments. By Friday 591 agreements were signed with more expected before the new July 27 deadline.
