City Council approves angle parking for two lots

Coin Woman Celia Luke Dies at Shenandoah Hospital
Mrs Celia Johnson Luke 76 wife of Dr Edward Luke of Coin died July 3 at Shenandoah Hospital after long illness. She came to Coin as a bride 53 years ago and remained. Survived by husband Dr Luke son Charles Washington DC daughter Carolyn Smith Fulton Missouri two grandsons Steven Edward and Daniel Willard Smith. She held roles in White Shrine of Jerusalem and Order of Eastern Star and belonged to the Episcopal Church. Funeral services at Coin Methodist Church officiated by Rev Herbert Thomas with assistance from Rev H B Robbins. Burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery Coin.

Mrs Vern Abbott of a Yorktown area farm won the third major prize while Mrs Alvin McAlpin chose a living room suite and Mrs Frank Ridgeway chose carpeting.
