Mother seeks writ to free daughters from estranged husband
Alice Dragoo of Shenandoah filed a habeas corpus petition in district court for her daughters Sheryl aged 4 and Theresa Lynn aged 2 to end alleged illegal restraint by Orville M Dragoo Jr and his mother Hallie Dragoo. The petition cites June custody changes and a police-assisted seizure but a Saturday hearing settled with the mother retaining custody without the writ.

Kenneth Fine of Braddyville faces district court trial for operating while intoxicated after police arrest Friday night.
