A Washington state family led by Mr and Mrs Kenneth Turner and their daughter visited the John Crain home in Hepburn on Friday. Local residents Mr and Mrs Clarence Hull of Westboro and Mrs Norman Kemper of Shenandoah called on the Crains and the Yoders Sunday. The Arthur Gray family visited Mrs Iva Gray in Clarinda on Wednesday. Roy Graham, in Omaha for examination at Veterans Hospital, was with Mr and Mrs Roy Graham Tuesday. The Grays and children visited Mrs Johnson ill with rheumatic fever near Gravity Friday. Ogden Lofgren of Clarinda visited Mrs Hettie Orme and Charles on Sunday.

South Page receives Title III grant for half equipment cost
South Page Community School District gained 2222.64 dollars in federal Title III funds via the Iowa Department of Instruction, covering about half of new equipment costs. Portable lab tables were bought for elementary centers, with science math and language materials added at the high school and plans for 1961 1962 expansion.

The Just-a-mere Club met January 17 at Mrs Harlan Howes’s home with three visitors Mrs Pearl Clark Clarinda Mrs Harold Fine and Mrs Andrew Miller. Members cut quilt blocks for the hostess and held contests. The next meeting will be at Mrs Eldon Miller’s an all day event with a covered dish.
