Dr Don D Drake 76 a veteran dentist and two term mayor of Clarinda died suddenly of a heart attack at his home. He practiced in Clarinda Des Moines and back in Clarinda after retirement. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 30 am at Williams Foster Mortuary with interment in Rest Haven Cemetery West Des Moines. Survivors include his wife a daughter a son and a grandson.

Third 1960 auto crash adds to record with over $500 damage

Wife of Rev Ben Nelson Dies After Seattle Life
Mrs Ida Clarabelle Nelson 52 wife of Rev Ben N Nelson former pastor of the Church of the Open Bible lived in Seattle for six years. She died of diabetes on Christmas day at her home in Seattle. Funeral was December 27 with burial at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. She was born in Bruce Wisconsin and served in Hardin Montana Clarinda and Phoenix before moving to Seattle. The Nelsons had a daughter Gene Ross of Spokane and two grandchildren. Many of her 11 brothers and sisters lived in Minnesota.

The Page County Grand Jury concluded county properties are satisfactory with several recommendations.
