Clarinda resumes its national contest entry via the Publicity and Public Relations Committee of the Chamber of Commerce chaired by G W Richardson. Entry blanks available in city and at decorating material suppliers, due at the chamber by Dec 14. Prizes awarded for best outside decorations with four city quarter winners and a grand prize entering General Electric’s nationwide contest. Candle Light Lane returns with Stuart Street residents placing candies along both sides of the street under Marvin Waldruff. Boys Scouts will distribute booklets and entry forms. ignore misprinted door decorations on forms. Last year’s grand prize went to Cecil Smith. area winners named.
