Capitol Education Fees Studied For Three State Universities
The Board of Regents considers guidance studies to decide whether to raise tuition at Iowa's three state universities. Current undergraduate tuition is about 220 dollars yearly at the State University of Iowa, with similar rates at Iowa State University and the Iowa State Teachers College. Projections suggest by 1969 four years could cost ten thousand dollars or more, while current estimates place SUI or ISU at around five thousand dollars to attend.

Fair Jr Livestock Sale nets $40389 at county fair
Two hundred eighty eight head of livestock raised by Page County youth sold for a total of $40 389 64 in the Junior Livestock Sale that closed the county fair Saturday. Buyers from the area purchased 146 head of baby beefs 89 hogs and 53 lambs with top bids by Miller Tractor Co Shenandoah First National Bank of Essex and Clarinda Auction Co among others.
