Aviation Forecasts Promising Rise in General Aviation
FAA forecasts a strong upswing in general aviation with 1964 hours totaling 15.5 million and a projected 19.5 million for 1969. January 1965 aircraft deliveries reached 866 units worth 18 million dollars, led by Cessna with six years of strong GA sales, followed by Piper and Beech. A July 18 Thunderbirds aerobatic show is set at Cedar Rapids airport with a 1:00 to 3:00 pm closure. a P-51 exhibit is planned.
