Sigma GS chapter Hawaiian Lo Mau Cfarty hosted by Miss Cindy Holmes at 2231 42nd Street NE on Tuesday August 9th. Guests learned about Beta Sigma Phi life traditions and ideals with a lively Hula contest in which all attendees participated. Co hosts were Carol Brock Hedy Kru ident Kay Brock. Guests included Jackie Sawyer Pat Sawyer Cindy Malone Lisa Smith Lois Powell and many others.
Six Mount Mercy college students will represent the student body at the twenty third NFCCS national congress August 21 to 27 at the Netherlands Hilton in Cincinnati Ohio. About 400 delegates from Catholic colleges will attend with theme The Church In The Modern World. Keynote speaker is Rev William McNamara OCD author of The Art of Being Human and director of the Spiritual Life Institute of America. On August 25 delegates will work in the Appalachian Slums of McGee Kentucky. Delegates: Peg Pfab Barbara McDonough Joan Kock Mary Kay Bading Carol Tallman. Rev Edgar Kurt, Mount Mercy chaplain, will accompany.
