A drizzle did not deter about 800 people at the Dew Drop Inn held on the grounds of St. Andrew's Church in Thunder Bay for Thanks giving Day Dinner. The event set a regional Thanksgiving record with 800 attendees up from 700 last year, as hunger and cost pressures grow. The Dew Drop Inn, Salvation Army, Shelter House Thunder Bay and Grace Place aid efforts. donors included the Regional Food Distribution Association and Prosector Restaurant.

Fire triggers near midnight blaze at Fort William home
A Fort William First Nation residence on Squaw Bay caught fire late Saturday. Thunder Bay Fire Rescue faced heavy flames and smoke as occupants, including a cook, fought the blaze from outside. Two people were treated for possible smoke inhalation and later released. Firefighters rescued two pets. no further investigation will occur.
