Gear Up for Outdoors coats drive backs Thunder Bay winter needs
In Thunder Bay the 18th annual winter coat and sleeping bag drive runs through December 20 to aid Shelter House Grace Place and Precious Bundles. Gear Up for Outdoors founder Jon Wynn and Shelter House executive director Brendan Carlin emphasize the growing demand as cold weather hits and encampments rise. Donations drop at 894 Alley Place with contactless bin collection and gender size labeling to route items to children and adults. Mayor Ken Boshcoff praises the communal effort to help those without stable shelter this harsh season.
