Rotary Clubs of Thunder Bay Christmas Parade earns robust local support
The annual parade on the third Saturday in November along Memorial Avenue in Thunder Bay draws thousands to view the Rotary Clubs event. Begun in 1991, it was led by Sgt. John Brink and sponsor Robin’s Donuts, with ongoing community help from volunteers, police, and businesses. Since 2005 the Rotary Clubs have co organized with the OPP, adjusting the parade route to start at the Superstore and ending at the Community Auditorium. The event features judging at the Howard Johnson, multiple categories for awards, and broad sponsorship and participation, with this year’s parade set for November 16 at 10 a.m. Rotary promotes inclusivity and invites more community groups to join.
