Old Town Clock in Halifax Gets Daylight Time Change
Halifax residents rely on the Old Town Clock on Citadel Hill as daylight time starts. Craig Potter of Parks Canada climbs the clock tower briefly each spring to advance the mechanism by hand ensuring the bell chimes and historic gear work remains accurate. Similar timekeeping duties occur in Winnipeg city hall and Calgary, where technicians manually adjust gear trains for the Seth Thomas clock.
