Mets face rotation drag as Manaea elbow issue persists
Mets pitcher Sean Manaea reported elbow discomfort after a minor league rehab start. MRI showed loose bodies in his left elbow, prompting a cortisone shot and a two to three day shutdown. Manager Carlos Mendoza said Manaea should be fine for the year, but the return remains uncertain as New York also copes with Senga and Megill injuries. Frankie Montas was added to start versus Atlanta, while Chris Devenski was optioned and Jesse Winker moved to the 60 day IL awaiting a rehab start.
