Porphyry Island Lighthouse Carves Season Amid Fog and Tours
Porphyry Island Lighthouse near Black Bay draws visitors as tours resume this season. Eight CL LS board members reviewed progress after 11 years of incorporation while community events and fundraisers support lighthouse restoration. Nearby, Sun day tours from Silver Islet Harbour and Sail Superior offer cruises past lighthouses with samples of local snacks. Firewood, sauna water, and cleared trails welcome guests, with new Shaganash beer debuting at Lakehead Beer Co. in Thunder Bay as Lighthouse Dispatches continues weekly.
