Protesters converge at MPP office over Bill 5 in Thunder Bay
About 300 people gathered outside MPP Kevin Holland’s James Street office in Thunder Bay to demand the repeal of Bill 5. The protest highlighted fears the bill could replace Ontario’s Endangered Species Act, create Special Economic Zones, and weaken environmental protections without proper consultation. Led by Sarah Nelson of Kill Bill Five, demonstrators argued the bill benefits corporations and billionaires while risking waters, lands, and air for future generations.
