Crops Delay Possible In Thunder Bay Area On Cool Spring

A veteran grower says cool spring weather has crops about seven to fourteen days behind schedule in Thunder Bay area with rain shortfalls reducing soil moisture. Unionized postal workers to vote on final offers

Canada Post employees, about 55 000 CUPW members, will vote on the carrier’s latest offers under a government directive using the Canada Labour Code. Canada Post says offers are final. CUPW calls the move a political attack and urges members to reject. Industry experts note forced votes are rare and can pressure bargaining at the table.
