Heritage Park attendance rises at Oliver Paipoonge
Oliver Paipoonge Heritage Park saw higher June visitor numbers reflecting a broader return to normal summer activity. Park curator Jean Mayo notes activity includes some American visitors as the site plans its second-annual Classic Day with live music and displays. July and August hours are 12 to 4 30 p m Thursday through Sunday.

Paramedic Reunites With Patient After Two Rescues Across 12 Years
In 2012 Randy Spekking nearly died during a transfer in Marathon as Paula Verin and Crystal Cook revived him with CPR and a shock from a hospital team. Twelve years later Verin, now an EMS leader, revived him again during a backyard collapse with Mitch Wiljala. He now has a pacemaker and remains in good condition.
