Walmart Canada cites supplier over mispriced meat at Richmond store
Walmart Canada says a third party supplier that weighed and labeled meat for its Richmond store took corrective action after some products were priced incorrectly. The company says the supplier was responsible for an isolated incident lasting two weeks last month and that prices follow Canadian Food Inspection Agency rules. A class action filed last week accuses Walmart Sobeys and Loblaw of misrepresenting meat weights by including packaging in prices.
