The Thunder Bay Chill will not participate in USL2 due to distance and costs, but will field a team in 2025 and focus on local players to ensure long term stability. The club, founded in 2000, plans a phased return with a possible rejoining in 2026 if opportunities arise, while exploring a competitive friendly schedule and cup participation.
