Dryden OPP are investigating the death of 42 year old Michelle Bannon at a Duke Street residence. A post mortem in Toronto confirmed the identity. Forensic testing is pending to determine the cause of death. Police say there is no threat to public safety.
A youth pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle Wednesday morning near Walsh and James streets. Police responded around 9 20 a.m. and the youth was taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. The investigation remains ongoing. Dan Topatigh to retire as Tbaytel CEO in fall 2024 after 10 years as president and chief executive officer. He joined as chief financial officer in 2007 and led growth through 2018. Potts notes his trusted leadership and ongoing transition with the board.
