Two Children Injured After Parking Lot Crash

In Thunder Bay two children aged eight and ten were seriously injured when struck by a vehicle in the Northwood Park Plaza parking lot. The alleged impaired driver Dawson Duncan, 25, was arrested and charged with multiple counts after officers located the vehicle.

Thaytel eyes 80 metre Pole Line Road tower in Oliver Paipoonge

Thaytel proposes an 80 metre self supporting tower on Pole Line Road to improve wireless service from Kakabeka Falls to Murillo and between Oliver Road and the Kaministiquia River. The site would host antenna equipment and a 225 square metre fenced shelter as part of a 250 tower network in Northwestern Ontario. An information session in Murillo on January 11 requires pre registration by January 5.

Seniors 87 Plus to Get First Access to Federal Dental Plan

Ottawa outlines a phased rollout for a subsidized dental plan targeting uninsured Canadians. Seniors over 87 will enroll first, with claims possible from May. the program costs up to 13 billion over five years and expands to all qualifying residents by 2025.
