Treasurer H I Enanann of Teton County Montana warns that 1900 state and county taxes are due by November 30 1900 at 6 pm. If unpaid a 10 percent penalty will be added and delinquent properties will be advertised or seized to cover taxes and costs. Also an advertisement for sheep and cattle buying services by 22D Ricka RpDson and Bailey Erickson is noted.

Marcus Daly died Sunday at the Hotel Netherlands in New York after Bright's disease and heart weakness. Born in Ireland in 1842, Daly built the Anaconda Copper Mining Company and led the Amalgamated Copper company while shaping Butte and Anaconda. He helped found Anaconda town and its vast copper plant. He was a Democrat and active in Montana politics, opposing W A Clark in key contests. Resolutions of respect from Chateau Lodge honor his passing.

Henry Villard, railroad magnate and financier, died Sunday at his Dobbs Ferry home. The throat cancer caused his death. He was 65 and had served as president of the Northern Pacific and was a familiar name across the Northwest.
All claims against Teton county must be filed with the undersigned by 5 p m December 1, 1900. Claims filed after this date will not be considered at the September meeting of the County Commissioners and will be laid over until the next regular meeting. The Great Falls Leader reports the Great Falls and Canada railroad will be widened to broad gauge and operated by the Canadian Pacific. The conversion will occur by April 15 and the CP will run the line from Dunmore to Great Falls. The move is expected to benefit Great Falls and the entire region.
