A mix of public notices and ads from Chateau Montana in October 1900 warn taxpayers that state and county taxes for 1900 are due by November 30 with a 10 percent penalty after six p.m. They include a treasury sign off by H. F. Examany and a prospectus for livestock sales, a ranch for sale, and a drug store ad. A political line claims a landslide victory with over 300 electoral votes across Northern states.
North Dakota voters gave McKinley an 11 877 edge, up 137 percent. South Dakota backed the ticket with over 20 000 margin. Ohio, McKinley’s home state, favored him by 71 762 over Bryan.
