Fire destroys Trachot and Bair Buildings in Choteau
Last Friday night a fire in Choteau destroyed the Trachot Building and the Bair Building. The Montanian press room and equipment were damaged while the blaze caused about $1,000 in uninsured losses. Neighbors and local merchants alerted the town as smoke and flames spread, with rapid response from residents using lamps and extinguishers to reach the scene.
