Senator Harding addresses Wyandot County delegates in Marion praising two blind soldiers from Argonne and pledging continued support for veterans. Fairfield Store Robbery and Arrest in Chateau

Walter Gilmore a Milwaufree laborer was arrested Saturday by Sheriff I S Martine of Chateau for the Fairfield Champion store robbery last Friday night. $6 stolen from the cash register after prying open a rear window. Gilmore admitted guilt at a preliminary exam and was bound over for trial. he claimed to be 18 but age exactness pending.

Streeter and Steele Tie the Knot in Great Falls

Willard D. Streeter cashier at the Great Northern depot and Miss Mable Steele daughter of Mr and Mrs Ewing Steele were married last Saturday evening at the First Methodist parsonage in Great Falls by Rev A C Bennett. Dixon and Story Tour Montana in Governor Campaign

The Montana Republican state campaign opens in Dillon on September 27 with Senator Joseph M. Dixon and Nelson Story slated to address Beaverhead County citizens. They will speak every weekday through November 1, visiting Dillon Twin Bridges Bozeman Livingston Big Timber and other towns before concluding in Missoula.

First Grade Enrollments Rise At Public School

Twenty nine pupils have entered first grade, promising a banner class as most can read write and count. Attendance across grades is strong with third and fourth at 100 percent and fifth and eighth near perfect. A peanut shower for the teacher triggered a reminder that compulsory parent contributions are against school rules.
