The 1920 census for Teton County lists a population of 5,870 despite the county’s division into Pondera and Glacier. City Clerk John W. Hall released the figures. Also noted, Mrs. Nat Collins, former Montana Cattle Queen and vice president of the Montana Pioneers Association, attended the group’s 37th annual meeting in Great Falls.

High School Enrollment Reaches Record in Montana District
The school opened Tuesday with enrollment near 140, nearly double last year, as the dormitory fills with only two rooms left. The Parent- Teachers association funds the rest room. teachers welcomed home warmly. The building nears completion next week with modern housing and a county high school status. A new agricultural program and a visiting commercial teacher Miss Edna Schutter will complete the faculty.

Moses Wins Republican Nomination in New Hampshire Primary
Senator George H. Moses, opponent of the league of nations and woman suffrage, nets a 12 000 plurality over Huntley Spaulding in the New Hampshire Republican primary. Ulcer on Eye Blinds Shelby Man with Hope of Recovery
Wallace Martin of Shelby awoke Sept 8 to complete blindness from an eye ulcer. He was taken to a Great Falls hospital for treatment and there is hope his sight may be restored with continued care.

Barber William F Debow Arrested on July 2 1920 Charge
William F Debow a barber formerly employed in Great Falls was arrested at Pendroy by Deputy Sheriff W C Bean and brought to Great Falls to answer a statutory charge filed by Deputy County Attorney F A Ewald on Gertrude G Hembre's complaint. Bail fixed at 1500. held at county jail if unpaid. The offense is alleged to have occurred in Great Falls on July 2 1920.

Martine Lands Whisky Cargo in Power Chase
Sheriff I S Martine of Teton county intercepted a whisky run in Power after a tip, recovering about 100 Imperial quarts of Canadian whisky. He pursued the ambulance-dark road, the driver fled on foot as the car swerved destroying a wheel, with whisky valued at up to 1500 and property at least 3500.
