A Boston expressmen’s league told the senate post office committee that parcels post is driving small expressmen out of business and may finish them if the postmaster general’s power to raise weights is not limited. The league, representing 400 local operators with 2,000 workers and $2 million invested, urged reimbursement for losses.
To spur early action in the Rontanan subscription contest the management grants a seven day special offer from February 25 to March 6 6 p.m. New and existing subscribers earn an extra 25 000 ballots for every 10 00 paid toward subscriptions with payments allowed as collected. An accurate receipt tally will accompany the special ballots issued for each 10 00 credited.
