Red Cross Christmas Drive Aims for 15 Million Members
The Red Cross war council plans a nationwide Christmas membership push to reach 15 million in the United States, adding about 10 million names to the muster roll. The drive runs Dec 17 to Dec 25 with the slogan Red Cross Christmas. Clergy will be asked to deliver Christmas sermons on Dec 23 as volunteers, including Mrs. Lawrence E. Horton, sort, inspect, and ship sweaters, shirts, socks, and surgical dressings to soldiers and training camps.
