Montana Counties to Get $60 Per Rural Route Mile
Montana will receive $60 per mile for each rural route in every county from the federal good roads appropriation if the state plan is adopted. Secretary G. R. Metlen says $98,200 will be available immediately for Montana routes, with expenditures treated as state funds under the one-to-one federal match. The next year's allotment will be doubled, all funds to be spent on rural or star route postal roads.

Helena to regain reclamation service headquarters
The Helena headquarters of the reclamation service for Montana will be moved back from Great Falls to Helena. The move follows proximity to other federal offices such as the general land office and the surveyor general. Four years earlier the offices were in Helena before transferring to Great Falls for Sun River and Milk River project work.

About 100 boosters and their band visited the county seat Tuesday morning advertising the Chautauqua to be held in Conrad the week of August 5. They arrived by autos, using 15 to 20 cars from their home city, and returned via Bynum. The group was lively and boosted both their town and the Chautauqua.
