Cattle to Benefit From Early Growth of Crested Wheatgrass
Crested wheatgrass begins growth early in spring providing three weeks of extra grazing for cattle. Mercer notes it makes excellent pasture for cows and calves once calves are old enough to handle increased milk flow. With careful management and fall seeding the pasture should sustain stock until mid June.
