Montana Feeds Thousands of Sheep This Year
Nearly 72 000 ewes and a similar number of lambs from outside Montana grazed on western Montana forest ranges this year. Sheep arrived mainly from Washington and Idaho under special railroad rates, with lambs sent to Chicago and ewes returned home. They are not owned or taxed in Montana, per Dr. W. J. Butler.
