Pendroy Couple United in Marriage at Community Methodist

Miss Jean Larson of Pendroy wed Robert Stromswold of Mohali North Dakota in a Sunday evening ceremony at the Community Methodist church in Pendroy. The service drew 150 guests with music by local performers and a reception in the church. The couple plan to reside at Chateau after September 21 while he begins teaching science at the local high school.

Counties to Hire Japanese Labour for Beet Harvest

After a county commission agreement with A I Sugar Company and local manager A J Moore, Teton County will accept Japanese labor for beet harvesting. Teton County Fair Dates Set for Sept 18 19

The Teton County fair dates were announced for Friday and Saturday September 18 and 19. County agents Margaret Conlon S N Halvorson and Glenn Baird coordinate the event with premiums, judged exhibits and special awards from Kerr Glass Manufacturing for canned goods entries.

William W. Helms Dies in Arizona Mine Accident

William W. Helms, born August 14, 1886 in Marion Wisconsin, died after a rock slide while operating a shovel at the mine pit in Ajo Arizona. He married Kathryn Campbell in 1914 and came to Ajo in 1923 to work for New Cornelia Copper Company. He is survived by his wife and son Vern Helms, four brothers and five sisters. Interment will be in Marion Wisconsin. Four friends will accompany the body to the cemetery and then to Gila Bend for Mrs Helms to catch a train to Wisconsin.

Time is Short On Fulfilling Triple A Pledge

Roy F. Morgan, chairman of the Triple A committee, advised Teton County farmers that conservation practices must be treated by September 30 to be included for payment under the 1942 program. Time is short to meet the deadline and fulfill the Triple A pledge.
