Contracts for High School Building Approved by Board
The board awarded the high school construction to Siegland & Keppe of Great Falls Montana with the lowest bid at 83 990 dollars. Plumbing and radiation work went to H G Hatch of Hardin Montana for 19 914 dollars. The project includes brick tile stone and steel construction with a 600 seat auditorium and a 41 by 90 foot gym. The basement will be built this fall and the building is to be completed in time for the next school year.

Choteau Masonic Temple Incorporation Filed
Articles of incorporation filed with the county clerk on the 20th establish the Choteau Masonic Temple Association with a $40,000 capital stock and a 40 year life. Meistersinger in New York Amid War Time Protests
German opera Die Meistersinger was staged at the Lexington Theater despite Mayor Hylan's order banning it until peace treaty. Thousands of service members clashed with police, throwing bricks and stones as shots rang out. About 1,000 soldiers retreated to Times Square, then scattered by mounted police.
