Moonlight Madness Set for Nov 6 by Chamber

The Chamber of Commerce scheduled Moonlight Madness for Saturday November 6. Merchants are urged to participate to ensure a record turnout. Choteau Firemen Plan Annual Dance This Saturday Night

Choteau firemen host their annual dance this Saturday at the city pavilion. Music by the Toenyes Family Orchestra starts at 9 30 p m. Admission is 2 50 per couple with 1 extra for lunch. Local Republicans sponsor a Salad Bar Luncheon on Thursday October 14 in the Chateau pavilion to honor Ron Marlenee Republican candidate for the U S House. Ten Vehicle Crashes Cause Property Damage in Teton County

A week’s highway patrol report lists 10 crashes with 16 people and 2 animals involved. No serious injuries occurred as vehicles collided with ditches fences and a dirt bank. the only fatalities were a calf and a deer.

Lions Pool Festival planned with multiple community events

Plans are under way for the Lions Club Pool Festival on Saturday in the city pavilion with 20 games and a country store. Proceeds fund the Chateau swimming pool and other charity efforts. volunteers are needed for setup and baked goods donations. A turkey dinner sponsored by the Methodists runs the same day, starting at 5 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. for the festival.

Woodahl Plans Choteau Campaign Visit

Attorney General Bob Woodahl will campaign for governor in Teton County on Friday October 15. He starts in Choteau at 10 a.m. meeting with the local committee at the Cornell then visits Skyline Lodge before continuing to Fairfield and Douton later in the afternoon.

Immerman Guilty Of Drug Charge After Trial

Mike Immerman of Chateau was found guilty of criminal sale of drugs after a two day trial. Sentencing is scheduled for October 19 and he remains free on his own recognizance. Sheriff Pete Howard reports two arrests for burglary and felony theft connected to the Chateau Drug break in. They will be arraigned in District Court for trial setting.

Sportsmen Set October Meet

The Teton County Sportsmen Association will meet October 12 at 8 p.m. in the Chateau Library. President Ray Scott notes camping restrictions in the national forest may be discussed and a ranger may explain the proposal. Members planning forest camping are urged to attend.
