Bulldogs Triumph 42 0 Over Valier High

Teton high school Bulldogs defeated Valier 42 to 0 at Valier on Saturday September 27. Strong late rally in the fourth quarter plus solid defense and notable runs by Walter Mozer and Morgan helped secure the win. The team remains focused on an upcoming trip to Lewistown to avenge last year’s defeat.

Last Sunday evening about 20 young people met at the Methodist church for a social fellowship hour and a league organization meeting. Pea crop in 1930 yields over twenty thousand dollars in Teton county

The 1930 pea crop in Teton county brought 25,248.86 dollars in cash to 52 farmers on 1215 acres with an average 13 bushels per acre. Alaska 32.4 bu ac and Perfection 33 bu ac led yields. Clark son notes peas netted about 10,000 more per acre than wheat would have.

Condition of George Magee Reported Critical

The physician E B Maynard says George Magee is in a quite critical condition. It was feared he would not survive the night. He has suffered heart trouble and was treated at Maynard hospital before returning home last week. His serious illness is mainly due to pneumonia contracted recently.

Core crowned 1930 Chateau golf champion in local club

Eddie Core of Chateau Country Club claimed the 1930 season title after a 38th hole victory over 1929 champ C. D. McDonald. Fred Barribal won the second flight and captured the resident handicap prize, while H. W. Bateman and Jimmie Broderick won first flight and runner-up honors respectively.

Mrs Depner Dies From Heart Failure In Farmington

Mrs Bertha Kropp Depner wife of Gustav Depner a well known Farmington farmer died suddenly last Thursday around 5 PM of heart failure. Survived by husband six sons and ten grandchildren with four daughters deceased in infancy. Funeral conducted by Rev E R Kaemmer at the Methodist church with burial in Chateau cemetery.

Bynum Test Well Yields Tentative Oil Showing

Information on the Bynum structure test well between Bynum and Pendroy is scarce. The well was reportedly completed last Saturday night with a small oil showing before it was capped. A site visit by Harry Adams, Henry Robison, and R F Baillie found the well abandoned, with oil evidence noted and geologist E B Emrick unavailable. The test well, drilled by Lon Crumley for Continental Development and Midwest, sits on the Dave Scott homestead.

1930 Registration in Teton County Falls Short of 1928

The county finalizes its 1930 general election electors at 2,442, up 172 from the July primary but 98 below the 2,540 registered for the 1928 general election.
