Chicago, Nov. 28. Official word says the Chicago Milwaukee and St Paul will build an extension from the Missouri River to Seattle and Tacoma. The project, costing about 60 million dollars, runs via the Rocky mountains toward Butte and Lolo pass, then west to Wallula and connections at Tacoma Helena Spokane and Portland.
The Floweraf e Sheep and Horse Co. offers a 1000 reward for information leading to the recovery of about 600 head of sheep stolen near the Muddy in June 1905 and for evidence to secure conviction. A 300 reward is offered for either recovery or conviction. By C J Kiona Acting Manager.
Congressman Joseph M. Dixon leaves for Washington to push bills for opening the Kurt Peck reservation of 2,000,000 acres and turning the Big Hole battlefield into a national park. He seeks trust management of Fanthéad Teurelation hot springs with public access and govt improvements, while warning against tariff changes this session.
The reclamation service orders W. T. Turner to aid the state engineer and staff in plane table surveys to hasten adjudication of Sunriver water rights. Work must be finished by January 1, next year. Turner has worked under S. B. Robbins but is now assigned specially to speed the process for early irrigation construction.
The public is warned that between the 18th and 21st of the month someone entered the pest house on the county farm and removed infected articles. The public, and others, are advised to watch for symptoms around December 2nd to 6th and report immediately. Dr. T. Brooks, Secretary Board of Health.

United States Senator Joseph Ralph Burton of Kansas was sentenced in the circuit court to six months in Iron county jail Ironton Missouri a 2500 fine and permanent disbarment from federal office for acting as a paid attorney for Rialto Grain and Securities Co of St Louis before the post office department to block a fraud order He was found guilty on six counts four for accepting compensation as attorney and two for receiving such compensation in the Rialto matter.
Dr. Ramsey of Fargo and Dr. Clare of Helena, in conference with Dr. Clark, note record stock shipments from the Dakotas with October totals of about 250,000 cattle and 543,628 Montana sheep. They attribute cattle movement to western corn crops and sheep to high prices, calling the season banner for the region.
Washington reports indicate the Interior Department approved 14 irrigation projects in 11 states with $27.97 million set aside, while the end of the last fiscal year showed a reclamation fund of $28.01 million. About $6 million has been spent, with total obligations driving expenditures toward $12 million and next year’s collections estimated near $9 million.
