The Seed Grain Cases in Toole County ended with K G Luke E B Toole and John C McClory pleading guilty to grand larceny. A civil action against the estate of L C Marsh and others was settled for 10500 paid to Toole County, with sentences suspended for the defendants. Judge John J Greene criticized county officials but praised citizenry.

Deal for Glenloyd Hotel Falls Through

C. L. Streeter proprietor of the Glenloyd hotel attempted to sell his property to a Frederick South Dakota man who posed as Dr J Arnold. Arnold offered a $300 check from a Frederick bank which cleared showed no account or recognition. No loss occurred and Streeter plans to stay in the hotel business locally.

Colored Man Drowns At Bynum Reservoir

A hunting party from Great Falls reports the first fatality of the season as Ted Ellis a 35 year old man colored drowned in Bynum reservoir after an outing with four hunters. Evens was rescued after Ellis disappeared and the body remained missing through Monday. Local sheriff and deputies conducted grappling searches with helpers from the county jail but only the body of Ellis remained unfound by夜. Ellis left a wife a son and two daughters in Great Falls and worked as a janitor and porter at several local businesses.
