Flatheads Claim Big Kansas City Property in Suit
Attorney Berry reports Flathead Indians heirs of Wyandotte tribe plan to sue in Kansas City Kansas for about 2 million dollars. He says land near the Kaw River was never transferred from the Indians, though whites took it and many transfers followed. Title remains with the Indians who moved to Stevensville, then Flathead reservation, with about 100 heirs awaiting a share as values rose since the 1840s. Investigations will proceed to Washington, per the Butte Miner.

Fourth annual Montana YWCA convention in Bozeman
The fourth annual state convention of the Young Women's Christian Association of Montana was held in Bozeman across Friday to Sunday. A Fort Benton fire Friday morning caused about $5,000 in damage but was contained by a favorable wind. Chief Justice Brantly handed down a November opinion upholding the fellow-servant law as constitutional.

Auto crash injures three in town lane turn
Last Saturday Byron Corson with George Porter and wife and W D Jones were driven in Corson’s car when a sharp lane turn caused a loss of control. The auto overturned and all were thrown out with minor injuries. Porter sprained arm and bruises, Mrs Porter scratched. They returned to town.
