Plans to widen Division Street move forward in Chateau
The Chateau City Council plans to widen West Division Street next spring by eight feet from the Nursing Home to Second Avenue West, adding four feet each side near the pool, tennis court, and Methodist Church block. Estimated cost $8,000 to $9,000 to be funded by a state gasoline tax. The project aims to reduce a traffic hazard created when cars park along the curb. The State Highway Commission supports the plan.
