The Lewis and Clark Forest office announced two bridge projects across Sun River at Hannan Point and the Bar Mountain crossing near Ear Mountain. Bids open November 23 1926 in Missoula with total funding 17000 dollars, up to 12000 for Hannan Point and 5000 for Bar Mountain. Construction must finish by June 30 1927.

Death releases David Jones after long suffering
David A. Jones, 21, son of Mrs. Wm Black of Choteau, Montana, died early Tuesday at Chateau hospital after years of illness. He spent years at St Luke's in Minnesota and a state sanitarium in Galen before returning home. Survived by his mother, brother Richard Jones, and half brothers Charles and Morris Black. Funeral 10 a.m. at Catholic church, Rev. Father Timothy Moroney, burial in Choteau cemetery.

A forest fire started by brush fires allowed to escape control by an Utah Construction Co. employee burned over five acres of second growth timber in Sun River Canyon. Deputy A. D. Moir said charges may be pressed. the fire damaged a key camping site below Beaver Creek, near the new dam project.

Stonehouse Pleads Guilty to Liquor Violation Charge
