Warning to water motor users under city ordinance

All persons operating water motor washing machines on city's pressure and have not declared 'Same to the Suprintendent are hereby warned to do 80 before November 20th. Any person not complying with this notice will be fined and the water turned off, as provided for in Ordinance No. 43.

Grocerymen Organize To Cut Prices In Delivery Change

Local merchants formed a cooperative to aid government conservation efforts. President BP. A. Cleland and secretary Ed Logan led the group in a plan to reduce expenses and lower consumer prices. Delivery shifts start Saturday November 17 with two daily runs at 10 am and 4 pm, no special deliveries.

Commissioners Proceedings Highlight Road and Staffing Actions

The county commissioners held a regular session with all members present. They authorized plastering pest houses, hiring an assistant for the county superintendent at 100 dollars a month, and directed the clerk to seek a state survey for a Glacier park to Summit road. They also agreed to apply to the U S Forest Service for 50 percent of Teton county's road costs.

Alfred Atkinson, Food Administrator for Montana, explains that the Food Administration does not restrict Thanksgiving turkey. He urges plentiful poultry consumption during the war to use the current surplus and help free up beef pork and mutton for export to the Allies.

Y M C A War Fund Sees Early Success and Large Budget

The Y M C A fund drive reported by the Acantha has raised about $1,000 with Power contributing $105. A nine month budget ending June 30 1918 shows totals for work with U S enlisted men overseas and in country plus army camps and foreign service, totaling $35 000 000. Extra expansion funds bring the grand total to $35 000 000 as the war effort grows.

Funeral of George Chalmers in Farmington

The Farmington community mourns George Chalmers eldest son of Mr and Mrs Wm Chalmers after a brief brain fever illness He was born May 3 1900 in Great Falls Montana and died October 10 1917 in Farmington The Norwegian Lutheran church was filled for the November 12 funeral led by Rev Olav Kvile familiar with his confirmation and memory
