Jos E Hein a Teton County stockman and rancher near Dupuyer led the county in grain. His season total appro ches 25 000 bushels with extensive use of own steam ploughing and threshing outfit. He plans to expand farming next year.
A 1907 memo from H N Savage of the Reclamation Service to A B Guthrie discusses naming the Sun River project vicinity. He favors Greenfields or Newlands as fitting reclamation naming conventions and notes Newlands as a model for a Wyoming town. He emphasizes identifying the land area’s location for laypeople.
The document lists a multi day schedule for the Teton County Institute. Activities include piano solos led by Miss Edda Beaupre Mrs K B Cohoe and Miss Edna Beaupre Miss Barr Prof Clark Mr Harmon and Rev Geo Logan plus roll calls civics geography pedagogy and various reading spelling grammar and disciplinary discussions. The Montana State Board of Railroad Commissioners considers refunding a large sum to Montana livestock shippers who paid rail charges for years. The commission will be advised by the federal Interstate Commerce Commission as it explains the case. District Attorney Carl Rash leads federal suits against Northern Pacific and Great Northern for alleged safety appliance violations, the first in the Northwest.

Julian F Bard longtime county resident and prominent Democrat died suddenly at his Chateau home of apoplexy. He had recent health issues but was generally in good health. He leaves a wife and brother Myron near Dupuyer. native of Michigan and early settler on Dupuyer Creek. He was about years old.

Wheat and cattle markets rise while sheep falter. Caleb Powers faces a fourth murder trial over Governor Goebel's death.
Hugh Crossen 73 native of Ireland and Montana resident for twenty years died at Columbus hospital Great Falls from heart trouble complicating age. He owned part of a cattle ranch near Choteau and had mines in Idaho. Funeral Monday at the Catholic church with Father Phelan. pallbearers included J. F. Burd and M. Connelly. Interment in Choteau cemetery.
