Pendroy Oil Test Fails as Sulphur Water Halts Wells
In Teton county near Pendroy the Radigan-Cheedle wildcat on the John Bolsinger farm reached 2560 feet without finding Sands in the Madison lime. A sulphur water encounter halted drilling after struggles with hard lime caprock. Some structural indication existed below a lower test at Rimour farm, but the Pendray effort ended in anticlimax with no oil discovery. The well involved major leaseholders including Standard of California, Roy Tarrant, B. B. Adams, EB H. Withers, and Ohio Oil Company.
