Plumber Verzuhe from Conrad has been employed by Marshall Wells in Choteau. Charlie Bowers, store proprietor, announced his hire this week. Verzuhe formerly worked three years in Portland and three years in San Francisco as a plumber and steam fitter. He and his wife and two children will relocate to the area.

Lease blocks totaling about 50 000 acres between Sunriver and Deep Creek southwest of Chateau for seismic surveying while Stephens Oil of Oklahoma City and Phillips Petroleum plan further drilling in Pendroy. New completion methods in the Pondera field may boost production in this well explored region where oil shows exist. Devonian reefs in Alberta yield up to 10000 barrels daily. such reefs may exist in Teton county near the Madison limestone horizon at 4200 to 4500 feet under the Sweet Grass arch.
