Browning Rancher Takes Own Life
Charles Jackson a rancher near Brown ing on Cut Bank creek died by suicide at the Malcolm Clark ranch Monday morning. He shot himself in the mouth with a .45 revolver after leaving home telling his wife he was ill. Coroner’s inquest returned death by own action. He leaves a widow and nine children. youngest infant born ten days ago.

Dr Samuel L Malone died at his home in Cleaver Missouri on April 25 6th at age 58. He practiced in Kansas City until 1909 when he moved to Choteau with family now residing nearby except one daughter in Oregon. Survived by Grace wife Carlton K Robert L of Choteau Mrs P C Truchot Mitchel Oregon Mrs Z B Noble of Bynum Mrs Alexander Truchot and Ruth Malone. He was known for his winning personality and broad Montana circle of friends.

Annual declamatory contest winners announced
Last Friday evening the annual declamatory contest was held in the auditorium. Miss Florence Daley won first prize a trip to Missoula next week Elva Larson took second and Ruth Andrews third with five and three dollar prizes. The hall was well filled and everyone enjoyed the entertainment greatly. Rehearsals for the seniors started this week.

Law to Halt Gambling in Food Prices

Children Health Conference Seeks Well Children For Screening

Bond election to fund new high school set for July 29
An election will be held on July 29 to vote bonds for a new high school building. Voters who appeared at the last regular election and have not moved their residence need not register again.
