Choteau Sees Record Rainfall and Snow Melt
Choteau recorded 4.72 inches of rain over a five day period with a .05 inch storm, as May 1964 loomed as a potential record. Snow in the mountains, up to 24 inches, helps area irrigation while concerns about flood risk were noted but doubts remain. The airport commission pledges county wide improvement with no large tax hikes, noting public utility status and shared levy among rural and city taxpayers.
