The annual Girl Scout Court of Award ceremony is set for Friday evening May 7 at 7 15 p m in Legion hall. Plans were finalized at the regular Girl Scout council meeting held last Saturday in Chateau drug store basement. Troop 7 met this week at Willard Paulus garage where they completed upper bracelets with shellac. Newly elected Troop 7 officers include President Janet Hickman and Secretary Sharon McCollum with Patrol Leaders Pamela Bleecker and Janet Standish.

Large Contingent of Music Students Attend Festival
A substantial group of music students traveled to Misgoula for the state festival April 22 to 24. The All State Band included Helen Davison, Patsy Edwards, Gary Franklin, Janis Bueling, Carter George and David Jones. AH State Chorus members were JoAnn Richem, Clarice Henderson, Laura Olsen and Sandra Hanusa. Instrument solos featured Leo Rowley, Marie Vance, David Jones and Janis Bueling. Ensembles included a Girls Ensemble, a baritone duet, a clarinet trio, and a brass sextet. Most groups earned better than average marks with several earning I’s and IIIs. The band planned to attend Havre Chamber of Commerce Bazid Festival on Saturday May 8, but a district track meet caused a scheduling conflict.
