Youths to Broadcast In Radio Competition

The Moose Family hour on KMON Great Falls invites youths under 20 to register for a radio contest at the Moose lodge. Four contestants will perform this Sunday March 18 at 7 30 p.m with five prizes donated by local businesses.

Legion Auxiliary to Broadcast on NBC Network

National American Legion auxiliary members will cheer from the sidelines for a team of auxiliary women in a competitive guard program. The program originates from Chicago and will air on NBC via KELK in Great Falls at 1 30 pm this Sunday March 18. Lois Peterson, publicity chairwoman, says this marks the auxiliary’s first network appearance.

The Choteau high school senior class presents a three act mystery by Grant Richards in the school auditorium on April 6. Reserved seats are 85 cents at Choteau Drug. 35 cents for students without activity tickets. adults 60 cents. The plot centers on Aunt Caroline and a murder among beloved characters with the culprit paying the penalty.

Scouts Honor Court Delivers Merit Badges At Lions Hall

About 100 scouts scouters and parents attended the Chateau troop court of honors at Lions Club hall Monday night. R D McDermott North Montana Central council addressed the gathering and a candle light investiture awarded five tender foot badges. Plans include monthly courts of honor and an overnight hike in Tetono canyon March 17 and 18.

Legion Party Set Saturday For Members

American Legion and auxiliary members and partners are invited to a St. Patrick’s day birthday party at Legion hall this Saturday night March 17. Land Classification Discussed by Rice in Helena Legislature

Swanson Aboard Draftee Airlift Grounded at Butte

Draftee Clifton Swanson of Peruboy was aboard a 66 passenger DC-4 when an airlift from Butte to Fort Lewis Washington encountered weather delays. A tail heavy DC-4 prompted removal of 31 men, with a DC-3 expected to fly the rest to McChord Field Washington. the draft group then proceeded to Fort Lewis for processing.

The Trinity Lutheran Junior and Senior choirs will broadcast on KMON this Saturday morning March 17 at 9 45. Mrs Carl Wedum directs the junior choir with Jfra A B Gravdal as organist. Valier approves $219000 bonds for grade school

In Valier district No 18 voters approved issuing 219000 in bonds to build a new grade school. About 60 percent turnout amid a blizzard. 185 yes to 35 no. Plans by Van Teylingen Knight Van Teylingen of Great Falls call for 10 classrooms a lunch room kitchen office space and storage replacing four current buildings.
