In Philadelphia at the St James hotel Guy Carlton Lee, famed lecturer, held an unused marriage license to Dr Hildegarde Langsdorf of Carlisle after she wed John L Ayer of Chester in Media. Langsdorf followed Lee, then married Ayer. Lee cried loss, while Ayer, 48, and Langsdorf, 44, vanished after the ceremony. Langsdorf is a medical journal contributor.

C A Lundy, 4341 Twelfth Ave, Minneapolis, searched for his brother by sending 1,283 letters to every Lundy he could find. He learned of Martin Lundy in Ferryville Wisconsin and traveled there to meet his half brother after years of correspondence and hope. He plans to stay in Ferryville for a time before returning to Minneapolis.
